GB 19489 Laboratories—general requirements for biosafety: Role and revision suggestions

 Describes the role of the standard in the design, construction, operation management and government supervision of national biosafety laboratories, which promoting the development of laboratory biosafety technology and providing a technical platform for national prevention and control on major infectious diseases. Since over 10 years’ implementation of GB 19489-2008, with China’s biosafety laboratories and biosafety protection equipment technical development and accumulated experience in operation management, industry experts have a deeper understanding of laboratory environmental parameter requirements and biosafety performance of protective equipment, and put forward the revision suggestions.
